JENNIFER DUNN

Beloved by her constituents and respected by all who knew her, Washington Congresswoman Jennifer Dunn made history in the 1990’s by becoming the highest ranking woman in the U.S. Congress leadership. The Seattle Time characterized her as a “Smart Conservative,” and she was widely regarded as an expert authority on tax relief, international trade, welfare reform, high tech development and retirement security.

The list of Jennifer’s accomplishments is long, but she personifies the goals of this leadership development program in her genesis as a political figure and public servant. With a background as a homemaker, business woman and civic and community volunteer, she set out on a path of political involvement that was guided by the conservative principles of the “Reagan Revolution.” She led the State Republican Party during the Reagan era, and was first elected to Congress in 1992, rising to the “political powerhouse” status that defined her career.

It is her legacy of excellence, her political acumen, and her tireless, skillful work on behalf of the principles that got her elected time and again, that serve as the inspiration for The Jennifer Dunn Leadership Institute.
